Neighborhood Printmakers from PAN Showing in Multnomah Village
PAN, based at the Multnomah Arts Center, has over 60 members who are working artists - a few live, work or volunteer in Multnomah Village in SW Portland. Stop by and enjoy works by Isabel Deaver, Annabelle Dolidon, Jessica Hartman, David Kessler, Ikie Kressel and Katherine McDowell.
Their prints will be on display from August 4–September 15, 2026.

Printmakers Art Fair
Come one, come all! PAN is excited to host a Printmakers Art Fair in the Gym at Multnomah Arts Center on Saturday, September 26, from 10 am - 4 pm. Come browse hundreds of fine art prints from some of the region’s finest. PAN Artist members and community partners will be selling original fine art prints, demonstrating printmaking techniques, and sharing information about community opportunities to take printmaking workshops or classes. It should be a really fun event. We look forward to seeing you there.

Prints & Poems Exhibits
Naturally Northwest Prints & Poems On Display in Portland and Bend
PAN's solarplate etching project will be on exhibit at a couple of places this summer.
The collection will be on display upstairs in the beautiful Aubrey R. Watzek Library at Lewis and Clark College in Portland from July 7 to September 22nd. (Check library summer hours). Poets include Lewis & Clark Professor Emeritus Kim Stafford and multiple Oregon Book Award winners.
In addition, the project will also be featured as part of the grand opening festivities for the new Central Library in Bend, August 15-16th. U.S. Poet Laureate Arthur Sze and recently reelected Oregon Poet Laureate Ellen Waterston will be on hand to commemorate and celebrate this gorgeous new Central Oregon resource.

Auction Opens: September 11th 12:00pm PST. We will be showcasing the 2026 Prints at Maude Kerns Art Center September 11th 2026.
The Online Gallery is Live. Check out the prints from this year and take note of what you like, because once they're sold they're gone.
Each year, PAN & Whit Print host an annual Reverse Auction Fundraiser. On September 11th, the prints will start at $95 and drop by $3 every day until they hit $20. It's a great deal for a limited edition print, but we only sell one, so make sure you grab your favorites early.
Join us in our mission to engage with printmakers around the world, to exhibit new works in Portland and Eugene, and to raise funds for our non-profit organizations.

Gathering of the Guilds
PAN's 2nd inclusion at Gathering of the Guilds in Portland (April 24th-26th, 2026) was a great success. We included over 300 pieces from 61 PAN members, and held 3 days of demonstrations showcasing a range of printmaking techniques. With over 13,000 attendees, this show gave PAN unusually strong exposure to the public. PAN friends from near and far reunited, shared stories, and educated visitors, with almost half of our current membership coming to the show. The show led to new member inquiries, workshop interest, newsletter subscribers, and interest in our exhibitions and member shows, helping us continue adding value to our organization.
We sold 50 pieces through combined sales by PAN artist members and Emerald Print Exchange sales, with additional funds raised through donations and demo donations. Total show receipts exceeded $9,500 by the show's end, with over $4,600 in commissions returned to artist members. This was a BIG EVENT to pull off and we'd love to have even more members involved next year.
Time To Renew Your Membership
At the Annual meeting in December, we voted to raise the Artist Member dues to $100 due to a rent increase at our headquarters at the Multnomah Arts Center. It's important to PAN that you renew for 2026 ASAP.
If you're not a juried Artist Member, you can apply for Artist Membership or support PAN’s work through a Collectors Club or Patron or Supporting Membership (without having to apply).
If you have been a member in the past and want to be included on the Gallery page of this website and in PAN group shows, no need to re-apply, just pay your dues now for 2026.
Mokuhanga Demo
Art Demonstration: Japanese Woodblock Printing
Witness the magic of mokuhanga, Japanese woodblock printing, up close through this special demonstration of the process by Oregon-based artist Barbara Mason, assisted by Alex Prentiss. There will be a Q&A following the demonstration, as well as a display of the tools, woodblocks, and paper used in the art of mokuhanga, and a selection of finished prints to enjoy up close. This demonstration is a collaboration with Print Arts Northwest.

An active PAN member, Barbara Mason is an artist and printmaker based in Hillsboro, Oregon. Her work has been shown nationally and internationally for the last 40 years. Mason practices different styles of printmaking including monotype, solar plate intaglio and mokuhanga. She is an advocate committed to art education: Mason founded the non-profit Golden Road Arts with the mission to provide free art programming to students and teachers. Alex Prentiss has been teaching mokuhanga workshops in Portland and around Oregon for over 20 years. In 2001, Prentiss purchased McClain’s Printmaking Supplies, the foremost relief printmaking supplier in the U.S., from her former mokuhanga teacher, Elaine Chandler.

Printmaking Library Opens
Did you know that PAN has a lending library of print-specific books, covering all print techniques, print history, biographies, and collections of many printmakers? There are books as well for young learners and practitioners. The collection is available to browse through in the PAN Office during Wednesday office hours. Books may be signed out for at home enjoyment as well.
This reminder of the library is also a request to members for donations of printmaking books that you may be divesting yourself of. PAN would love to accept them as valued additions to the library.
Office hours are Wednesdays, 10 am to 12:30 pm. Appointments can also be made for donations. Thanks and happy reading!

A Sense of Space: A Show by PAN artists
This exhibition features 13 printmakers. Artists will be on hand for an opening reception on January 8th.
