Our Story

Print Arts Northwest (PAN) advocates the art of printmaking through exhibitions, professional development, and educational programs that promote the creation, appreciation and collection of original artists’ prints by professional and emerging printmakers.

Who We Are

Founded in 1980, Print Arts Northwest is a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit organization that supports and promotes contemporary fine art printmaking. Located in Portland, Oregon, our membership includes practicing artists, patrons and collectors from the Pacific Northwest as well as from across North America.

PAN maintains an active exhibitions and events schedule. Through PAN, printmakers have fun connecting with one another and the arts community in the Northwest as well as find resources to make and sell their work. PAN provides exciting workshops, tours, exchanges, exhibitions, studio visits with demos and more for our Artist Members.

Our Emerging Printmakers Residency offers professional development and guidance, a venue for exhibiting original prints, and participation in PAN’s network of successful working artists. The program includes one-on-one mentoring, 3 months of studio access, awesome group critiques, and demos by renown artists for printmakers at the beginning of their careers.

All Print Arts Northwest programs, exhibitions and memberships are open and accessible to all members of the public, regardless of race, sex, creed, national origin, disability or age.
